Jeff Clifton
Project Manager/Corporate Vice President

A San Francisco native, Jeff has worked in the drywall and taping business for over 30 years. He served his apprenticeship and worked as a journey level taper throughout the Greater Bay Area. Subsequently, he founded All American Drywall In San Jose, California, which he operated for over 15 years, and later founded Comstock Drywall in Reno, Nevada until 1998. Returning to the Bay Area in 2002, Jeff worked as a Superintendent for a major San Francisco drywall and plastering contractor until he co-founded Oaktown Construction in the September of 2002.

Jeff is an out-going and friendly businessman and drywall/taping expert, who is honest in all his business dealings and takes customer satisfaction to heart. He expects quality and efficiency from all his employees and he prides himself on dealing fairly with everyone.

Josie Ragas McFarlane
B.A, J.D., President, CEO

Also a native San Franciscan, Josie has worked with the building trades in the public sector for over 30 years. Handling employment and labor issues, Josie has worked closely with the various labor unions in San Francisco handling contract negotiations and interpretation and working as a Health and Safety Coordinator. With her legal background she also worked as a Disciplinary Hearing Officer.

Frustrated with the waste and delays often characterized by government bureaucracies, Josie retired from the public sector and co-founded Oaktown Construction. Her background enables her to handle various issues in her work force to insure quality construction by highly skilled crafts workers who are good at what they do and take tremendous pride in their work.

Arturo Martinez
General Superintendent

Born in the town of Arenal, Jalisco, Mexico, Arturo came to the United States in 1994. After working various manual labor jobs, he became a Drywall Hanger Apprentice in 1997. In 2003, he started working with Oaktown Construction as a journey level Drywall Hanger. The following year Arturo became the General Superintendent. A man of many talents, Arturo has supervised up to 70 employees on various job sites throughout the Bay Area. He works along side his employees framing metal studs and installing drywall. He also assists the Project Manager in job estimating and lay-outs. With his unwavering dedication to the success of the business, to his credit, Arturo has enabled Oaktown to thrive beyond expectation.

Arturo lives in San Jose, California with his wife, Sandra and two young daughters, Vianney and Valeria.

Jose Morelos
Taping Superintendent

Born in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico, Jose moved to the Bay Area in 1997. He worked odd jobs until 1998 when he began working as an Apprentice Taper for his brother. In 2003, he joined Oaktown Construction as a journey level Taper and the following year he became the Taping Superintendent. A highly skilled craftsman, Jose works with a very professional crew of Tapers, supervising and coordinating a variety of projects with the Oaktown General Superintendent. Under Jose’s supervision, Oaktown’s work is of exceptional quality giving the company a solid reputation in the drywall and taping industry.

Jose’s favorite hobby is restoring old cars. He currently lives in San Pablo, California with his wife, Damari and infant son, Abner.

Austin “Mick” McWalter
Plastering & Stucco Superintendent

Born in the City of Birmingham, England, Mick attended trade school for five year, receiving his City and Guild Certificate in Plastering and related crafts.

In 1988, Mike came to the United States, lived and worked in New York City for one year and then moved to San Diego, California. He worked for eight years in San Diego working in the stucco and plastering trade then moved to Reno, Nevada working as a journey level stucco and plastering finisher. For the last five years, Mick has owned his own stucco and plastering business working in Nevada and throughout Northern California. He has experience in a variety of projects including residential, commercial, government buildings, banks and schools.

Mick’s interest include dirt bike racing and fishing. He currently lives in Hercules, California.
